Leading the Way in Intensive Therapy and Offering Hope! NeuroSuit, the leader in the Intensive Model of Therapy (IMOT) began with Patricia Gonzalez,OT, founder of NeuroSuit and Sunshine Therapy. Sunshine Therapy was the first clinic in the US to open in Miami,Fl. providing Intensive Therapy, 4 hours per day, 5 days per week for 3 weeks using the Therasuit. Patricia Gonzalez received her training from Therasuit in August 2002 in their very first class by Izabela & Richard Koscielny. So excited about the potential to help thousands of children and adults, Sunshine Therapy opened their clinic using the Therasuit even before Therasuit opened a clinic in Michigan. Sunshine Therapy was the first clinic to combine: • Hippotherapy • Aquatic Therapy • Hyperbaric Oxygen • Glyconutrients with their Intensive Program with huge success to their patients! Soon, many other clinics across the country followed Sunshine Therapy's leadership in combining therapies to maximize results. After opening several centers across the country in just a short period of time, Sunshine Therapy was contacted by Ayurveda, the patent owner of the Adeli Suit used in Euromed and offered an opportunity of a lifetime. In 2004, Patricia Gonzalez was taught by the Chief of Staff at the Adeli Methodology National Training Center of the Russian Federation. She completed a two week training program in theoretical and application aspects of the Adeli Suit Methodology and Application for Rehabilitation and Treatment of Cerebral Palsy Patients. Patricia Gonzalez, now empowered with tremendous knowledge on one of the most effective treatments available in rehabilitation, Gonzalez received additional training in the Adeli Methodology as Sunshine Therapy hosted 2 doctors and 1 therapist over a three month period in Atlanta, Georgia. One component was still missing however. Over the years of being trained by Therasuit and Adeli, neither suit addressed the arms! "The concept of the suit is so powerful, but not applying the suit to the arms is a tremendous oversight" in the opinion of Patricia Gonzalez, an Occupational Therapist. Patricia Gonzalez even offered her opinion of the arm components of the suit to both the Koscielny's in the initital training and to Ayurveda during the training process. NEUROSUIT was created to address the shortcomings of the other suits on the market i.e. Therasuit, Adeli Suit & Bungee Suit (Egypt). A person's arms are so important! Crawling, pushing up to sitting, using a walker, dressing, bathing, eating all require functional arm/hand use! The NEUROSUIT is the ONLY suit available on the market that has a hat, vest, shorts, knee pads, shoe attachments AND arm attachments to increase proprioception and strength of the patient's upper extremities! NeuroSuit's mission is to make this treatment available to ALL by making the NeuroSuit affordable and easily accessible for use in either the home and/or clinic use by a trained therapist in the Intensive Model of Therapy.
